Russell Coker

Russell Coker has been working on SE Linux since mid 2001. He added SE Linux support to the Debian distribution http://www.debian.org/ which was the first distribution to have SE Linux support. After he got SE Linux working in Debian he started running SE Linux "play" machines to demonstrate the power of SE Linux by giving root access to the world with only SE Linux to protect the system. He has worked mostly full- time on writing SE Linux policy since 2001.

Russell has been working for Red Hat for over a year on SE Linux integration into Fedora http://www.fedora.redhat.com/ and Red Hat Enterprise Linux http://www.redhat.com/software/rhel/ .

Russell has presented papers on SE Linux at Ottawa Linux Symposium http://www.linuxsymposium.org/ and Linux Kongress http://www.linuxkongress.de/ as well as giving talks to several LUGs and to the Cambridge University computer security group.

Prior to working on SE Linux Russell worked in senior technical positions for several European ISPs.
