Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kinds of papers should be submitted?
A: The papers should be technical white paper that clearly describes the content of your presentation.

Q: How long should the papers be?
A: Final papers must not exceed 8 pages including figures and abstract. The abstract is 200 words maximum.

Q: What template should the papers use?
A: For consistency we ask that everyone use the USENIX Template.

Q: What file format will you accept submissions in?
A: Paper submissions must be in PDF format only.

Q: How do I submit a paper?
A: Please use the submission form.

Q: How will the papers be reviewed?
A: The review committee will select papers based exclusively on the merit of the white paper.

Q: How will the papers be published?
A: We have not decided all the details about publishing but they will at least be on the symposium website.

Q: What happens if I am selected?
A: The final PDF copy will need to be submitted according to the calendar and presentation materials will need to be prepared for the paper presentation.

Q: Can I present my SELinux related product?
A: We welcome papers on technical solutions and novel designs, however no marketing presentations will be accepted.

Q: How much time do I have to present my paper?
A: 30 minutes, including 5-10 minutes for questions.

Q: Will panel submissions be considered?
A: Yes, however there are a limited number of panel slots. Detailed requirements for panels will be available soon.

Q: Will tutorial submissions be considered?
A: Yes, however there are a limited number of tutorial slots. Detailed requirements for tutorials will be available soon.

Q: Will WiP, BoF and case study submissions be considered?
A: Yes, however there are a limited number of WiP/BoF/case study slots. Detailed requirements are available on the call for wips, bofs and case studies
